CPO 135 Tricopter : The G10 Shorty!

This is the “G10 Shorty”. I cut 150mm off each boom, removed the camera/battery tray, and made this a bit of a race car version of the larger FPV/AV original. I realize some of you aren’t looking for a video platform. This should show you that the CPO 135 Tricopter is a capable acrobat as well. (Just don’t rely on my skills to prove it! LOL!)

Took the tricopter out for a quick recorded flight. All settings are still stock. No tuning. I am very pleased with how easy this thing flies right from the get go. I am sure will a little tuning, it will be even better! I did have one anomaly…and I am not sure exactly what happened. It’s about 2 minutes into the video. KK2.1 ESC Calibration Easter Egg

It just goes to show that ESC calibration MUST ALWAYS BE PERFORMED WITH PROPS REMOVED. The KK board will pass the “full throttle” position to the ESCs without warning. Sometimes. Not all the time, but sometimes. Be careful.


This seems to occur in KK2.0 or KK2.1, and whether holding the buttons when powering on, or when pressing the buttons quickly after powering on. I am still trying to figure out why…but…
