CPO Tricopter Build : Basic TX Setup, ESC/AAC Calibration, Arming/Disarming

In this video, I go over the basic transmitter and KK2.1 programming and calibration. These are the fundamental settings that are needed to get the tricopter ready for maiden. My transmitter is a FrSky Taranis, but hopefully the principals in basic configuration are easily understood for folks using other transmitters.

I set up my basic mixes, and expo. I get into adjusting center points and end points. I set up a quick Throttle Hold switch, and assign a switch for Self Level mode. On the KK, I select tricopter motor layout, work with the receiver test mode, ESC calibration, and level the aircraft and perform an ACC calibration. I show how to arm and disarm the tricopter, and then take a look at the mixer editor setting for the yaw servo. I change the rate to high for my digital servo, and show how to know if you need to change your rudder value from 100 to -100 by how the servo moves in comparison to your stick movement.

A couple of final checks…and she should be ready for a maiden!
