The helicopter frame is finally getting some love! In this video, I install the main gear and main shaft, motor, and finally put in those servos that I have prepped up in the last few videos. My only concern at this point is the wobbly main gear. There is a little up and down wobble (not to be confused with play on the main shaft — there is none of that), but there doesn’t appear to be any side to side wobble. The LHS didn’t have one of these in stock, so if I decide it needs replacing, I’ll have to order it. Lots of folks on the heli forums seem to report a similar wobble with this style heli, and many say it doesn’t effect flight. Something to watch for now. The build continues.
Additionally, I show you my approach for installing the motor, and adjusting the pinion. And after that, the three cyclic servos go into place.
Now that I have my new Tarot 450 Pro V2 Kit, it’s time to get started on the build. Join me as I approach this build from a completely novice perspective. I’ll be learning as I go, but hopefully someone can learn something from this…or at least get the courage to do it on your own.
Thanks for watching!
